About Vic

Vic is a dedicated, accomplished and charismatic family law specialist. He brings a professional and compassionate approach to resolving parenting matters. After graduating with honours from the University of Melbourne, Vic trained as a commercial solicitor at a premier law firm before deciding to practice family law exclusively in 2003.

Trained by the firm’s founder, Richard Thomas Calley, Vic brings a deep understanding of complex property and financial issues to his work in family law. He has branched out into Wills and Estates Law to further guide clients.

As an experienced board director, Vic currently Chairs bestchance, a leading not-for-profit charity which operates child therapy services, early childhood education programs, family support services and a school for primary school aged students suffering from behavioural and developmental challenges.

Vic is also the Chairman of Click for Health, Australia’s fastest growing online telehealth platform. He consults to the board of Oakleigh Grammar where he is the Convenor of the school’s Business Network.

  • Vic is Chairperson of Bestchance, a charity that provides child therapy services, early childhood education programs, family support services and a school for primary school-aged students suffering from behavioural and developmental challenges.
  • He consults to the board of Oakleigh Grammar School and is the Business Network Convenor.
  • A passionate follower of AFL football and cricket, he enthusiastically supports the St Kilda, Sandringham, Seaford and Beaumaris Football Clubs and Casey South Melbourne Cricket Club. Vic serves on the board of Sandringham Football Club.
  • An accomplished motivational speaker, Vic has presented to several cancer survivorship forums and is an active supporter of Amaze Autism Services. He speaks professionally and is represented by DHM Talent Management.
  • He was awarded a Centenary of Federation medal by the Governor General for service to the community on youth issues.

About Helen

Helen commenced her legal career over twenty years ago after gaining managerial experience with local government. Initially a commercial lawyer, Helen discovered a passion for family law and has practised exclusively in this area for many years.

Previous positions as a solicitor advocate in the Federal Circuit Court and at Peninsula Community Legal Centre have given her vast experience in family law and property matters.

Helen is an accomplished competitive triathlete and a Level 2 triathlon coach. She was a board member for Hills Community Options and supports many community groups on the Mornington Peninsula.

About Kate

Kate joined Vic Rajah Family & Estate Lawyers in 2019 as a committed advocate for family law. She undertook her law degree at Deakin University and was mentored by Vic Rajah while a paralegal. As a Senior Associate, she is mindful of providing exceptional service and going above and beyond for all clients.

Kate is a young mum with a deep empathy for her clients. She dedicates her time to supporting numerous Bayside charitable causes.

Sarah is an emerging voice in family law matters, inspired during her placement at Monash Law Clinics in the family law stream. After obtaining her law degree from Monash University, she joined Vic Rajah Family & Estate Lawyers in 2022. She excels in providing timely and empathetic client service.

Sarah has a keen passion for the Geelong Cats and enjoys maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. She is an experienced committee member of various sporting clubs.

David is a highly regarded criminal lawyer and advocate with over 40 years of legal practice experience. He joined Vic Rajah Family & Estate Lawyers as a Consultant after transitioning from his own practice. Competent in appearing at Court, he assists the practice in family violence and intervention order proceedings.

David is a water sports enthusiast, a keen sailor and swimmer. He has served on the board and committees of several sporting and sailing clubs.

About Malcom

Malcolm is a leading wills and estates lawyer with almost 40 years of legal practice experience. He obtained his Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Jurisprudence degrees from Monash University and obtained his Masters Degree in Law from the London School of Economics (University of London).

He has recently joined Vic Rajah Family & Estate Lawyers as a Consultant, having run his own specialist wills and estates practice over the past decade. Prior to this he was a Partner at a leading City law firm for many years.

Malcolm has wide experience in wills and estate planning, deceased estates and administration, Powers of Attorney, appointment of medical decision makers, challenges to wills and advise regarding Trusts.

Malcolm is a keen cyclist and an accomplished scuba diver. He enjoys travel.

About Tahlia

Tahlia obtained a double degree in Law and Criminology / Criminal Justice at Swinburne University of Technology. She has been with the Vic Rajah Family & Estate Lawyers team since 2022. Tahlia works as a Family Lawyer who also has previous experience working as a legal clerk in a Wills and Estates practice. A caring and empathetic individual by nature, Tahlia has assisted at Yarrabah Special Needs School and is a foster carer for Meow Rescue.

Tahlia is actively involved in her community and enjoys volunteering, baseball and swimming.

About Cooper

Cooper recently joined Vic Rajah Family & Estate Lawyers having been admitted to practice in 2024. A Mornington Peninsula local, Cooper attended the Peninsula School where he was a Prefect and has a longstanding involvement with Mt Eliza Junior Football Club and Old Peninsula Football Club as a player and member. Cooper has also worked as a basketball referee in the Frankston basketball association.

Reflecting his strong commitment to justice and disability inclusion, Cooper has worked as an NDIS Carer since 2023. He takes great pride in assisting his clients to develop life skills, social skills and independence.

About Libby

Libby is the first point of contact for new clients and a constant port of call for existing clients. She will explain how we work along with the associated fees and book you in for your first meeting.

Libby has speech pathology and computer programming degrees and formerly worked in IT recruitment and project management before taking a practice management role for a commercial property Law firm. In 2014, she became Co-Director of Vic Rajah Family Law after joining the practice in 2013.

An avid animal lover and animal rights supporter, Libby enjoys long walks with her two beagles and travelling to see wildlife such as Galapagos Island’s turtles and Borneo’s Orangutangs. She also appreciates Melbourne’s rich culture of galleries and live productions and spending time with her adult children and extended family.
